Privacy statement
iPsalm respects your privacy and processes as little personal data as possible. You don't need an account to read and sing psalms or to view the Bible or catechism, and we collect no personal data for that. Below you can read, per feature, which data we do process and why.
Data controller
iPsalm is operated by IMDigital. For privacy questions you can contact us via imdigital.info.
Functional data and cookies
For the app's operation and security we use functional cookies (session, CSRF protection and your language choice). These contain no profiling information and are not used for tracking. See the cookie policy for details.
Statistics (Google Analytics)
Only with your consent do we use Google Analytics to anonymously measure how the app is used so we can improve it. Without consent no analytics cookies are placed. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie policy. Google acts as a processor in this.
Feedback form
If you use the feedback form, we store your subject, message, the page you're writing from and — if you fill it in — your email address. We use this solely to handle your feedback and possibly respond. Legal basis: your consent. Your email address is optional.
AI minister
The AI minister answers your questions using an external AI service (Groq). The text you type is sent to this service to generate an answer. Therefore do not enter any sensitive personal data here. The answers are AI-generated and are not a substitute for pastoral or professional advice.
Push notifications
If you enable push notifications, we store your browser's technical subscription details so we can send notifications. You can turn notifications off at any time in the settings or your browser.
Device sync and notes
To sync your preferences and personal notes between devices we use an anonymous device code. No account or name is linked to it. Your notes are stored to make them available on your devices.
Retention periods
We don't keep data longer than necessary. We keep feedback until it has been handled; we keep statistics according to the retention period set in Google Analytics; notes and sync data remain stored as long as you use them and you can delete them yourself.
Sharing with third parties
We never sell your data. We only share data with parties needed to run the app: Google (statistics, with consent) and Groq (AI minister). These parties process data solely on our behalf.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to withdraw your consent. You manage much of the data (such as your cookie consent and notes) yourself in the app. For other requests you can contact us.
