Psalm 10

Vers 1

Notenbalk regel 1 (iso)Notenbalk regel 1 (rit)Why do you stand far off ? O LORD, arise!
Notenbalk regel 2 (iso)Notenbalk regel 2 (rit) Why do you hide yourself in troubled days?
Notenbalk regel 3 (iso)Notenbalk regel 3 (rit) Do you not hear it when the poor man cries?
Notenbalk regel 4 (iso)Notenbalk regel 4 (rit) For on the poor the wicked sinner preys;
Notenbalk regel 5 (iso)Notenbalk regel 5 (rit) with arrogance his heart is set ablaze.
Notenbalk regel 6 (iso)Notenbalk regel 6 (rit) Let him be caught in schemes of his own making
Notenbalk regel 7 (iso)Notenbalk regel 7 (rit) with all who of his evil are partaking.

Vers 2

Notenbalk regel 1 (iso)Notenbalk regel 1 (rit)The wicked man boasts of his heart’s desire,
Notenbalk regel 2 (iso)Notenbalk regel 2 (rit) gives greed his blessing, for the LORD he spurns.
Notenbalk regel 3 (iso)Notenbalk regel 3 (rit) In haughty pride the wicked scorns his ire;
Notenbalk regel 4 (iso)Notenbalk regel 4 (rit) there is no room for God in his concerns.
Notenbalk regel 5 (iso)Notenbalk regel 5 (rit) In all his thoughts, to him he never turns.
Notenbalk regel 6 (iso)Notenbalk regel 6 (rit) God’s holy laws do not restrain or curb him.
Notenbalk regel 7 (iso)Notenbalk regel 7 (rit) He prospers, and his foes dare not disturb him.

Vers 3

Notenbalk regel 1 (iso)Notenbalk regel 1 (rit)He proudly thinks, “I shall forever stand,
Notenbalk regel 2 (iso)Notenbalk regel 2 (rit) for I shall never with misfortunes meet;
Notenbalk regel 3 (iso)Notenbalk regel 3 (rit) there’s nothing that can stop what I have planned.”
Notenbalk regel 4 (iso)Notenbalk regel 4 (rit) His mouth is filled with cursing and conceit;
Notenbalk regel 5 (iso)Notenbalk regel 5 (rit) beneath his tongue lurk mischief and deceit.
Notenbalk regel 6 (iso)Notenbalk regel 6 (rit) Iniquity and malice he will cherish,
Notenbalk regel 7 (iso)Notenbalk regel 7 (rit) and in his snares the innocent will perish.

Vers 4

Notenbalk regel 1 (iso)Notenbalk regel 1 (rit)He sits in ambush watching for his prey
Notenbalk regel 2 (iso)Notenbalk regel 2 (rit) and murders those not of his wiles aware.
Notenbalk regel 3 (iso)Notenbalk regel 3 (rit) He searches out the helpless on their way.
Notenbalk regel 4 (iso)Notenbalk regel 4 (rit) He is a lion lurking in his lair.
Notenbalk regel 5 (iso)Notenbalk regel 5 (rit) He lies in wait to catch them in his snare.
Notenbalk regel 6 (iso)Notenbalk regel 6 (rit) Deep in his heart he thinks, “God does not see it;
Notenbalk regel 7 (iso)Notenbalk regel 7 (rit) why fear his wrath? There is no need to flee it.”

Vers 5

Notenbalk regel 1 (iso)Notenbalk regel 1 (rit)Arise, O LORD! Lift up your mighty hand
Notenbalk regel 2 (iso)Notenbalk regel 2 (rit) Do not forget the poor. O God, be near!
Notenbalk regel 3 (iso)Notenbalk regel 3 (rit) The humble in their helplessness defend!
Notenbalk regel 4 (iso)Notenbalk regel 4 (rit) Why does the wicked man still scoff and sneer?
Notenbalk regel 5 (iso)Notenbalk regel 5 (rit) How can he keep on thinking without fear,
Notenbalk regel 6 (iso)Notenbalk regel 6 (rit) “God will ignore my evil and oppression;
Notenbalk regel 7 (iso)Notenbalk regel 7 (rit) he will not make me pay for my transgression”?

Vers 6

Notenbalk regel 1 (iso)Notenbalk regel 1 (rit)But you, O God, you do see grief and woes,
Notenbalk regel 2 (iso)Notenbalk regel 2 (rit) and you do take the victims’ cause in hand.
Notenbalk regel 3 (iso)Notenbalk regel 3 (rit) To you they flee, for you support all those
Notenbalk regel 4 (iso)Notenbalk regel 4 (rit) who on their own cannot their foes withstand.
Notenbalk regel 5 (iso)Notenbalk regel 5 (rit) You to the fatherless your help extend.
Notenbalk regel 6 (iso)Notenbalk regel 6 (rit) LORD, break the arm of all who evil cherish;
Notenbalk regel 7 (iso)Notenbalk regel 7 (rit) seek out their wickedness until they perish.

Vers 7

Notenbalk regel 1 (iso)Notenbalk regel 1 (rit)The LORD is King; he reigns for evermore
Notenbalk regel 2 (iso)Notenbalk regel 2 (rit) The heathen soon shall vanish from his land.
Notenbalk regel 3 (iso)Notenbalk regel 3 (rit) O LORD, you hear the pleading of the poor
Notenbalk regel 4 (iso)Notenbalk regel 4 (rit) and you support them with your mighty hand;
Notenbalk regel 5 (iso)Notenbalk regel 5 (rit) the orphaned and afflicted you defend,
Notenbalk regel 6 (iso)Notenbalk regel 6 (rit) that earthborn man, aroused by hate and error,
Notenbalk regel 7 (iso)Notenbalk regel 7 (rit) no more may strike the land with fear and terror.
