Psalm 112 behoort tot Boek V (Psalm 107–150) van die Psalter. Halleluja-psalm: Begin of eindig met die Hebreeuse "Hallelu-Jah" (114, 118 en 136 val nie hieronder nie). Akrostiese psalm: Elke strofe begin met 'n opeenvolgende letter van die Hebreeuse alfabet.
